Job Description

The Senior Marketing Manager of Provider Solutions is responsible for telling the story of products and services to the provider market. This position is tasked with strategically marketing solutions and services and is involved in defining the strategy of the overall marketing go to market plan, including developing and implementing demand generation campaign plans for the assigned portfolio. The senior marketing manager will also be charged with integrating the IBM Watson Health story, increasing brand awareness, showcasing differentiated offerings, promoting thought leadership and client relationship events, and developing, executing lead generation programs with a focus on sales revenue goals and marketing responsiveness metrics. The senior marketing manager will identify strategic industry conferences and events, develop plans to support our attendance and manage an ongoing communication plan and resources needed to achieve goals and objectives, including ROI.

The senior marketing manager will be actively involved in the strategic direction of the business and will contribute to sales and revenue growth. The position reports to the marketing director.

Management and Execution:
  • Work with sales and product management, and marketing leadership, to understand market goals and priorities and translate them into focused marketing objectives.
  • Translate product and service capabilities into clear, compelling marketing messages.
  • Guide solution/product brand management; help define and enforce positioning and target marketing for healthcare segments, and for rollout of individual new products/services/solutions in assigned product areas.
  • Manage campaign budgets for assigned portfolio.
  • Develop and oversee execution of the annual campaign plans for assigned portfolio, including defining objectives, marketing mix and promotional channels; resource management; and strategies for marketing integrated programs to healthcare providers.
  • Grasp key market trends and competitor information for provider market; keep abreast of emerging marketing approaches and best practices to develop an effective plan and continually improving marketing programs.
  • Manage key client and internal communication specific to healthcare industry stakeholders.

  • High degree of organization and ability to coordinate multiple priorities, resources, deadlines and projects, with minimal supervision.
  • Cooperative attitude and flexibility to changing priorities is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior level executives with a practical, "roll-up your sleeves" style.
  • Teaming capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functional areas, and take constructive input from multiple sources.

  • Creative problem solver with the ability to provide both strategic and tactical direction.
  • Results oriented with a focus on what is working and what to improve to hit objectives.
