Job Description

IBM Cloud Management & Platform's mission is to driving marketing for DevOps, management, application platform, and cloud technologies that allow for simple, fast, and secure application development and deployment across a multi-cloud environment for the purpose of helping our clients deliver an exceptional customer experience while driving business growth.

The Portfolio Marketing Manager acts as the champion for all products in the portfolio and is able to evangelize the management and platform use cases, technology differentiators and product features and benefits working closely with extended teams across engineering, offering management, sales, and marketing. The ideal candidate has a passion for technology and software; the ability to understand at a deep level customer needs; and the ability to communicate the Cloud Management & Platform value through clear, insightful marketing materials of high production quality.

Position Responsibilities include:
Become the portfolio expert, including the set of products underneath
Build and share a deep understanding of buyer and influencers -- their acute needs and what is the best way to reach them using face-to-face interactions, secondary research, social listening, win/loss reviews and other channels, including utilizing Net Promoter Score (NPS) to gain a real-time pulse.
Write and socialize key documents for the segment including Marketing Business Plans, launch plans and content briefs.
Craft inspiring and forward-looking value propositions and messaging that resonate with buying audiences and produce source messaging blueprints.
Provide market and buyer insights to drive the development of campaign strategies including demand creation and reputation building
Define and create ideal vehicles to convey specific technical advantages
Conceptualize and design product and solution deployment diagrams
Create and publish solution briefs and customer success stories
Develop customer facing product content in the form of PowerPoint presentations, Product Demos, Videos, White Papers and Blogs among others
Evangelize the differentiated value proposition at trade shows, executive briefings and internal customer events among others
Create self-contained product demonstration, as well as interactive product/technology/company presentations to be used on the IBM website and as sales or training support collateral
Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
Serve as market-facing SME/thought leader for product/portfolio
Analyze all aspects of marketing performance to develop insights and actions, and communicate the results of related marketing efforts through regular business reviews
