IBM Services Center in Baton Rouge has immediate opportunities for experienced, forward thinking Application Test Analysts with a passion for growth and innovation.

The Application Testing Analyst is a hands-on role that requires a demonstrated knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools. Using in-depth analysis and test design skills, you'll work directly with business and IT organizations to develop and deliver test strategies, test plans, and test cases for multiple small to medium size projects. Your responsibilities include analyzing business requirements, designing, executing, and automating the test cases. An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) as well as a demonstrated understanding of the various phases of software testing is required. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience with hands-on Testing including writing and executing test cases, use cases, test scenarios, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect/incident tracking, and release planning. Candidates must also have working knowledge and experience with functional testing and regression testing and with formal testing tools such as Hewlett Packard Quality Center (HPQC), Quick Test Pro, IBM Rational Tools, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) etc.

In addition candidates should have experience with analyzing business processes and user requirements/technical requirements, analyzing high/low level design documentation, estimating system testing timelines, utilizing change management across version releases, defect tracking management and resolution, providing status updates and communications, and release planning and management. You should also have experience with programming automated test scripts, automated testing, and a majority of the following: System Integrated Testing (SIT), Business Acceptance Testing (BAT), Commerce Solution Testing, DB Testing, and Test harnesses.

Candidates must have the ability to work in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship.

Successful candidates for these positions will work on-site at the IBM Client Innovation Center in Baton Rouge. The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel up to 50% of the time. This is a traditional office position. You must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Louisiana. The work location is 100 North Street Baton Rouge, LA 70802. This is not a work from home position.
