Job Description

IBM Global Business Services (GBS) is seeking an Associate Partner (AP) to be responsible for all work sold and delivered by IBM GBS for a specific key Banking and Financial Market (BKFM) client. Accountable for client relationship management within the account, this AP will spend significant time broadening and deepening relationships within the client. They will work to identify transformational opportunities and bring to bear IBM’s offering of cognitive solutions, big data analytics, digital innovation, automation, and various mobile solutions. These solutions are driving the transformation of the BKFM landscape across customer care, payments, core BKFM back office, compliance, and risk.

Responsibilities include:
  • Maintain a strong presence with the client team.
  • Lead client meetings and discussions, facilitating ideation sessions, articulating findings and cultivating strong relationships.
  • Bring to bear all services offered by IBM Global Business Services.
  • Be regarded as a strategic thought leader and practical solution implementer.
  • Present complex analyses to the client in a straightforward, easily understood manner.
  • Manage the P&L for key account while maintaining margin objectives.
  • Ensure the success and profitability for all work done within the key account.
  • Lead multi-level client teams and foster a strong sense of camaraderie and accomplishment.
  • Formally and informally mentor team members by providing constructive feedback and offering growth/stretch opportunities.
  • Disaggregate complex client situations into key issues and questions.
  • Structure high level program of project work.
  • Develop and refine hypotheses for ambiguous client situations.
NYC locations are preferred, but all locations will be considered.
